What Happened To Traveling Domestically? 5 Reasons Why You Should!

Everyone wants to travel the world. However, sometimes we forget that “traveling the world” also mean traveling your own home country. Here are some benefits to traveling within your country.

There is So Much in Your Country to See!

See the Amish in Pennsylvania, walk through the deserts in Utah, drive along the California Coast. You can have a phenomenal experience right in your home country doing thing your overlooked.

You Speak the Language

You will be able to navigate your destination so much better if you already speak the language. Speaking the language is a benefit not only when it comes to convenience but also when it comes to safety, saving money, and cultural adjustment.

You Can Save Money on Accommodations

Stay with you third cousin, sleep on your childhood friends couch , or get your own room at your grandmas. All these options are much cheaper than a pricey hotel.

Long Term Stay

You can stay as long as you’d like and no visa or passport is required. Heck you may even end up relocating. With domestic travel your options are open because you already live in the country so no pesky trips to your an consulate or embassy .

Cheaper Tickets

As a budget traveler I usually let the cost of my airfare determine my destinations. Consistently, domestic flights are cheaper. I can find a flight from Houston to the East Coast for well under $100.

Do not sleep on domestic travel and do not let anyone make your feel that your not really traveling if it is not out of the country. As long as your out there your living and this is the goal.
