If You Travel; Here's Why You Should Learn to Like Beer
Learn to Like Beer
Beer is an acquired taste, so do not be discouraged if you do not like it at first.I get so frustrated when people tell me they do not like the taste because I did not like it at first either. I feel like they have not given beer a fair chance. I often suggest people consistently have a simple well known beer every once in a while to get used to the taste. I learned to like beer while traveling to Brazil. It was the cheapest way to drink and available everywhere. I started off with a few sips with my dinner most nights and eventually I fell in love.
Most places in the world beer is the cheapest alcohol on the menu. From expensive countries to cheap ones, you can always afford to grab a beer. I have traveled to many places where a beer in USD ranged from under a dollar to three dollars. Beer is almost always going to be the cheapest drink option everywhere you go.
Make New Friends
If you are a budget traveler “Lets grab a beer” will sound a lot better than “Lets grab expensive shots or fancy drinks” . Your new friends will be so excited to be able to split a six pack on the beach with you.
Experience the Culture
For some places beer is a cultural statement. One of my favorite things about traveling is getting to see what the locals drink. Often times there is a country specific beer that is the cheapest on the menu.
