How to Spend Under $20 a Night For Your Accommodation.
Stay With Family
You’d be surprised how much family you may have around the world, and even if its not blood related someone may know someone who can let you crash on their couch?
the more you travel the more people you know from different places.
Know Your Cheap Accommodation Options
Airbnb is great for all traveler types, budgets, and trip duration. You can stay in anything from a palace to someones couch.
Hostels are known for backpackers and extreme budget travelers, however do not sleep on them, I have stayed in some pretty amazing luxury hostels.
Homestay, Casa Particulars, or Couch Surfing
Stay with a local, someone who lives there and is willing to show you the ropes while letting you into their home. Usually the cheapest option, staying with a local can be super helpful when trying to navigate things like budget travel, do’s & don’t, and safety concerns.
If you’ve never used airbnb sign up here for money off your accommodation. Me and my friends have saved $50+ dollars being smart about how we used Airbnb. We would have the friend who did not have an account already sign up and get a discount off our trip. Use this link to get $55 in credits; $55OFF
Location Location Location
Be flexible with your location, in the sense of location of your destination & location of your accommodation. Flexibility is the key to budget traveling, let your budget guide you.
Travel in a Group
Traveling with a group of people means there are more people to split the costs with.
Explore Accommodation Types
Research accommodations according to the location you are visiting. Airbnb may not be the cheapest option depending on where you are traveling to. Check out the local hostels, find out if the town has any casa particulars, or maybe you could try camping on a beach. Do not assume Airbnb is your cheapest option.
